What Our People Say

Mark Riley - Orthotic Product Specialist

Mark RileyAbout Me

I joined Mobilis in March 2006 as an Orthotic product specialist for the south of England (Birmingham and South). I have a sales background going back around 20 years across many sectors including Pharmacy, Grocery and Medical.

I really enjoy the challenge the sales role offers and I still get the same buzz today as I did when I first started selling from opening new accounts, increasing the product range used in existing accounts, and of course reaching my sales targets.

A day in the life of…

This would normally mean an early start to get round that great British car park the M25. Over 80% of my calls are to Hospitals and a good start to the day is to see your first customer or potential customer before 9am when they would normally start their clinics.

The beauty of my sales position with Mobilis compared with previous companies I have represented, is you have so many call points in one Hospital (less time parked on the M25 more time selling) because of the varied product range we sell.

When I get home I would always log on to fill in the day’s activity and plan the next action on to the day’s calls which could mean arranging a valuation on some products, putting quotes together or making further appointments ready for the follow up calls.

What I enjoy about working at Mobilis

I enjoy working for Mobilis because I represent a well respected company with a number of quality product ranges which are competitively priced and well supported from the marketing team.

I receive excellent back up from the head office from across all departments; customer services, purchasing, warehouse, management etc which makes my job so much easier and enjoyable. You really do feel your efforts are appreciated and that the whole company is pulling in the same direction with everyone happy to do that bit extra to help our customers and work colleagues.

Statement

Susan AndrewAbout Me

I joined Mobilis five and a half years ago as a Sales Advisor for Mobilis Podiatry. After 2 years, I moved to a Sales Support position for the Customer Care team. During my last year I returned to work on reduced hours after having a baby and have recently gained a promotion to full time Customer Care Supervisor.

A day in the life of…

Each day is so different and there are always new things to learn. My role is to support and encourage the customer care team to provide the best service to customers. I liaise with all departments throughout the Company on a daily basis and regularly attend meetings to discuss operational activity and progress. I look forward to the new challenges ahead that my new role will bring.

Ross Matthews - Web Business Unit Manager

Ross MatthewsAbout Me

Prior to joining Mobilis in late July 2007 I worked as the Business Development & Change Manager - Digital Marketing for the tour operator MyTravel Group Plc. I was primarily responsible for a programme of digital development, helping to continually enhance the group’s online presence to drive sales to represent a significant proportion of total business.

Mobilis’s desire to establish a significant online presence in a short space of time has meant a hectic start to my career. Having spent the initial couple of months formulating and interpreting the business’s requirements and liaising with suppliers we’re now firmly pressing ahead with the re-development of a new eCommerce platform.

A day in the life of…

The fast paced, dynamic and forward thinking environment at Mobilis means no two days are similar! Having been through the process of appointing key suppliers, myself and the newly formed web business team are focusing on ensuring we deliver to our customer’s expectations of an online Mobilis presence.

What I enjoy about working at Mobilis…

Mobilis is a fantastic company to work for! There is an open atmosphere and a great willingness to embrace new ideas to benefit the group. I personally enjoy learning about the different areas of the business which has already helped me build an appreciation of the impact that eCommerce will have once redeveloped and launched.

Statement

"Mobilis offers a fast paced, dynamic and forward thinking working environment in which individuals are encouraged to continually develop their skills"

Andrew Hawkyard - Brand Manager

Andrew HawkyardAbout Me

Before I joined Mobilis Healthcare Group in August 2007, I worked in marketing departments for large brands including Wrigleys, Umbro and Durex. I joined Mobilis after being impressed with the opportunity of gaining experience as a brand manager. When I came for my interview the people I met were open and friendly and I was excited by the potential of the company and the extra visibility and responsibility that my role offers.

A day in the life of…

My job is extremely varied and involves working on all aspects of the marketing mix from new product development to packaging, advertising, PR and online activity.

What I enjoy about working at Mobilis

I have received great support from my colleagues since joining Mobilis and am learning more and more each week. Everyone in the company is very helpful and the company seem committed to developing staff and motivating people to achieve more.

Natalie Smith - Warehouse Operative

Natalie SmithAbout Me

I have worked for Mobilis Healthcare Group for the past year. Before working here, I worked in a children’s play centre. I have never worked in a warehouse before so I had no idea what to expect. I came here initially as a picker/packer but then progressed to dealing with customer returns for one of our sister companies – Keep Able.

A day in the life of…

Every day is different. One day I could be picking, packing and despatching goods from the main warehouse, the next could be from our other warehouse at MJ1. We have also just started dealing with a new business, Webb Ivory, which I also pick, pack and despatch for. Other parts of my job include PI checking which is counting the stock on the shelves and making sure it is right against the system. This is a very important job because if the stock isn’t right, none of the goods get sent out to our customers.

What I enjoy about working at Mobilis

I enjoy working at Mobilis because it is a warm and friendly place to be. I have also been asked to look after Webb Ivory which is a great opportunity for me to go further in the Company.

Statement

"I never thought I would see myself working in a warehouse, but now I really enjoy it."
